Various types of inspection tasks of utilities and facilities (high-voltage power lines, wind turbines, telecom structures, solar panels, distribution pipelines, bridges, railways, etc.) are performed with airborne and terrestrial mapping. We specialize in the post-processing of raw data (e.g. LiDAR, images, GPR etc) to obtain desired output data.

Over 10000 km of LiDAR classification
over 80000 sq. km. of topographic classification
Post processing of GPR mapping data
Bathymetric classification

Insellco has experience in a variety of tasks that include post-processing of images, LiDAR and GPR data for utilities and infrastructure. A variety of underground and overground objects are mapped with drones and mobile equipments to carry out diverse investigations, checks and inspections. We digitally process data obtained for utilities and facilities and deliver the desired output in variety of formats by following specifications. We capture and inspect diverse elements associated with diverse utility infrastructure using variety of input data including point-cloud data. We support our clients in generating a wide range of outputs ( Orthophoto, classified point cloud etc).

For example, high-voltage power lines are mapped using drones, data is obtained in form of LIDAR point clouds or images etc. We process this data and deliver Orthophotos and classified LiDAR data in PLS CADD format and capture specified landbased objects. With the help of these data, mast and associated elements (wire profile, vegetation, buildings, etc.) are inspected with high geometric accuracy.
We also help customers for further analysis such as to create cable profiles, calculate distances, analyze vegetation, identify dangerous objects. The workflow changes depending on customer requirements and utility network types.

Typically we are asked to classify large volume of RAW LiDAR point-cloud data for given classes. This data is further verfied or updated in the target systems i.e. PLS CADD.

Evaluation (three-dimensional stereoscopic evaluation) of image data is also asked which forms the basis to cross-check the output data with high geometric accuracy (e.g. for high-voltage lines, masts, vegetation, buildings, lines) for damage detection.

Additional requirements which mostly relates to analysis part are supplied to us which clearly describe methodology and expected output after analysis.

Different type of mapping data related to wind turbines, structures, solar panels, pipeline, bridges, rail networks is given to carry out processing with given workflow.

Depending on the scope of the project, customer ask us to generate output in different formats. Orthophoto and 2D and 3D compilation is also done for objects available in AOI.

Some special requirements include Image conversion, Aerotriangulation, DTM Generation, Ortho generation, Seam line generation and editing

We are asked also to update the existing asset data based on given specifications using AI tools. We follow the list provided by our customers to review and correct the results after implementing AI.

Occasionally we are asked to produce analysis results using predetermined tools e.g. vegetation growth analysis, wire profiling, damage analysis. As a project scope, we need to present the analysis results in a specific GIS system.

At INSELLCO, with our domain expertise in underground and overground energy distribution networks, we are able to quickly understand requirements that differ from the description above. Our ability to navigate between different GIS Systems and handling of various industry standard processing tools for point-cloud makes us unique in handling complex data processing tasks.

We are providing Long term support since 2002 to Engineering and energy distribution companies as subcontractors. Our pool of experts are familiar with various industry-specific requirements and dealing with diverse data obtained from various airborne and terrestrial mapping techniques. We take full control to understand of requirements, prepare required documentation, train our staff for specific tasks, quality control and prepare delivery plans.

We specialize in processing the LiDAR data for high-voltage power lines. It includes classification of raw point clouds, generation of orthos, extraction of planimetric features and further updating of LiDAR data.

We process variety of data including point cloud data related to utility infrastructure based on given specifications with high geometric accuracy. (e.g. for high-voltage lines, masts, buildings, lines, etc.).

We specialize in the three-dimensional stereoscopic evaluation of various elements of energy supply infrastructure and also generate special products such as orthophotos, elevation models, PLS CADD data, etc.

We develop workflows and provide technical know-how to post-process various types of industry-specific utility data originating from drones (e.g. data for high-voltage power lines, wind turbines, structures, solar systems, pipelines, bridges, rail networks, etc.)

We constantly improve workflows in consultation with the client to make the processing faster. To process large amount of data, better workflow often saves cost and time for large projects that have fixed budget and fixed timeline,

We are able to integrate different data elements and use photogrammetric/topographic re-registration of the different datasets to develop the output according to specific requirements.

We also offer services to generate analysis results in big data sets and present results in given output format. We also prepare data for the desired processing, for example by eliminating data errors.

Some of the possibilities are in vegetation growth analysis, wire profiling and damage analysis. We generate the analysis results in the specified specifications as required.

Industry expertise:
We have a good understanding of the industry-specific utility and energy distribution network, land use area, infrastructure objects and various types of defects (e.g. bolting of the mast and its brackets).

Technical Competence:
Our handling of large amount of geodata, understanding of modern mapping technologies, accuracy issues, understanding of technical drawings and technical terms helps us to set up data processing projects quickly and deliver results.

Knowledge about Airborne and Tereestrial Mapping:
We have a wide knowledge of equipment and techniques used to collect data from drones and mobile vans. We have an internal data review process which can detect errors early. This helps our client to take necessary actions immediately.

Cost advantage:
Due to our in-house resource management and training facilities, we remain cost-effective in the market and have been able to offer competitive prices. In some cases, we prepare a cost estimate at the bidding stage of the project.
